Natural Awakenings of the Coastal Carolinas

Yoga In Common:

Owner Linda Phillips of Yoga in Common explains, “We are a locally designed studio and opened in 2009, back when there were only a few places around Myrtle Beach that taught yoga in a studio setting, or taught yoga classes at all, for that matter.”

“All of our teachers are Yoga Alliance certified at the 200- or 500-hour level. We offer yoga teacher training programs for both of these levels as well,” adds Phillips.

Yoga in Common offers a variety of classes including vinyasa flow, basic hatha, gentle, restorative and yin yoga as well as qigong and meditation. Specialty class offerings include family yoga, pre-natal and baby & mama yoga. The studio is open every day of the week and offers more than 50 classes each week, so there’s always something to accommodate everyone.

“We offer so many unique workshops and experiences every month in addition to all of our regular, weekly classes such as the gentle yoga class taught while a string trio from the Long Bay Symphony played music as part of the ‘Off Stage’ program; it was heavenly,” comments Phillips when asked about the best part of Yoga in Common. “Our studios offer a beautiful and spacious setting. Here you will find people of every age and fitness level in all of our classes. We want yoga to be a part of a person’s well-being at every stage of their life.”
