Unity of Wilmington Celebrates World Day of Prayer
Unity of Wilmington will celebrate its 27th World Day of Prayer beginning at 7 p.m. on September 9 with a special 24-hour period of focused affirmative prayer. This year’s theme is From Fear to Faith, and the event will be held online via Facebook Live and YouTube.
“In the face of a world pandemic, political polarization and pressing social justice issues, our ability to meet the needs of our times with faith, rather than exacerbate conditions by reacting in
fear, provides spiritually focused people a significant role in constructive change,” says Unity’s Rev. Linda Martella-Whitsett. “Please join us for special heart-opening, uplifting music by Eddie Watkins
Jr., for keynote presentations by a variety of powerful speakers focusing on questions such as how do you look beyond troubling circumstances that provoke fear, looking instead through the spiritual lens of faith?”
This event is a chance to unite virtually, our hearts and minds in the power of prayer. We are grateful for the opportunity to embrace the affirmation “Standing in Truth, I move from fear to faith.” Visit the following link to view stream: YouTube.com/UnityOnlineOrg?sub_ confirmation=1.
