Yoga and Meditation for Kids
Yoga is an ancient practice of healing and self-discovery. Yoga connects oneself on a mental, emotional and physical level. A regular yoga practice can help children develop skills that will help them through adolescence and later in life. Is your pre-teen dealing with stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, poor focus or concentration, negative self-image, or have problems falling asleep? Yoga can help! Some of its benefits are: * Yoga helps learn how to manage stress and anxiety, in addition to general emotional regulation. * Yoga helps improve posture and spine health, flexibility, balance, strength and coordination. * Increase the ability to focus which means better concentration, memory and academic performance. * Yoga can give kids a regular practice of self-love, to help build confidence and a positive self-image around their identities and bodies. * Because yoga is a practice, there isn’t pressure to be perfect. It helps boost self-esteem. * Yoga helps relax the body and mind for a better night’s sleep. If you want your pre-teen to learn and experience the unique benefits of a yoga practice, I have created a Yoga Program for them. This is a three (3) months Yoga and Meditation Program, that meets on the first, second and third Friday of each month from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. Your Pre-Teen will learn and practice tools that are backed by science: * Yoga Poses * Breathing Techniques and * Meditation.
